UFC Legend Johnny Walker To Join ‘Fiery’ MMA Spectacle At Fort St Elmo
As Centurion FC’s fierce octagon battle draws near, one Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) legend has confirmed he’s coming to Malta to support his team on the night.
UFC fighter Johnny Walker will be joining Connor McGregor’s coach, John Kavanagh, at Fort St Elmo on fight night.
Both Kavanagh and Walker represent the same team – SBG Ireland, a fight club that saw its fair share of talent, including McGregor himself.
Walker, originally from Brazil, currently competes in the Light Heavyweight division of the UFC and has been doing so since 2013 after lighting up Dana White’s Contender Series.
Today, he is ranked thirteenth in the world in his respective division.
“Some team-mates from SBG Ireland are going to be fighting and I’m going to be watching and supporting them,” Walker said on his Instagram story. “This weekend is going to be ‘fire’, my friends. I hope to see you there.”
Walker is well-known for his own crazy moves, the best example being the sublime flying knee that knocked out Misha Chirkunov back in 2019.
Bloodthirsty warriors will be going toe-to-toe in the MMA event come Saturday 2nd July. The event is Centurion FC’s eighth event in Malta and will rightfully be held at an arena that saw its own fair share of warfare in its heyday: Fort St Elmo.
Ten fights are on the card, with Centurion boss Roberto Gallo’s carefully selected fighters all ready to light up the Octagon before hundreds of live spectators and thousands online.
