Prime Minister Robert Abela visited Neil Agius ahead of his upcoming “Gozo 7” challenge.

“You’ll have the whole country behind you as you motivate all of us,” Abela told Agius.

Abela even posted about the visit on social media saying “Best of luck Neil Agius in your preparations ahead of your upcoming ‘Gozo 7’ challenge in August.”

Agius is set to perform seven swims across seven days in Gozo starting from 31st August in a colossal challenge that is designed to fail according to science. In this challenge, the record-breaking swimmer is pushing himself to the very limit to discover what the human body is capable of.

In fact, throughout his journey, Agius will be followed closely by a science team who will be evaluating his response to extreme stress and recovery, both mentally and physically.

In the different videos that were posted to social media ahead of the challenge, Agius spoke about how this endeavour is not about breaking records and how it’s all about uncovering humans’ potential.
