Fatima Bosch of Mexico was crowned Miss Universe 2025, but her win comes after one of the most controversial moments in the pageant’s 74-year history.
Bosch became a global symbol of courage when she stood up to the Thai pageant director during a heated exchange that went viral. When she attempted to speak, he replied, “I did not give you an opportunity to talk,” to which she fearlessly responded: “I have a voice. You are not respecting me as a woman.”
