Raise Awareness And Win Prizes With Birdlife Malta’s Video Challenge
Grab your cameras or phone because BirdLife Malta is hosting a video competition for young creators aimed at shining a light on Maltese nature.
The challenge is open to young candidates aged 13 to 25 who are allowed to participate solo or in teams of up to three.
If you choose to participate, you must select a particular theme related to nature conservation such as: Habitat loss, Intensive agriculture, pollution or illegal hunting, among many other possibilities.
Script, plan, film and edit, BirdLife encourages young filmmakers to do whatever it takes to showcase the beauty of Maltese nature and why we need to protect it.
Applicants are encouraged to edit the videos to their heart’s content in order to make it more dramatic or even satirical. However, videos must not exceed two minutes and must be in portrait format.
Awards will be presented to the top three submissions, with first place being awarded €450, second place €300 and third place €150. However, no matter your rank, all participants will be given a full one-year membership with BirdLife Malta.
Email submissions end on 31st October but participants are encouraged to promote their uploaded content using the hashtag #NatureProtectors and tagging @BirdLifeMalta.
Winners will be announced on 7th November after the top 3 most liked and shared posts are calculated, so submit and share your creations before it’s too late!
