The Leader of the Opposition officially accepted Lovin Malta’s challenge and took to the Maltese seas to remove plastic pollution as part of the Wave of Change campaign.

Adrian Delia pulled up his trousers and got his feet wet as he stepped into the sea and collected some stray pieces of plastics, such as some soft drink bottles. He called on other people to join the “environmental revolution” and make the world a better place.

“We’re here at the zone called Xewkija in Kalkara, and I am accepting the challenge given to me by Lovin Malta called the Wave of Change, which means we need to remove and pick up as much as we can the plastic found on our shores and in our seas,” Dr Delia said.

The Wave of Change challenge was started as part of the international fight against single-use plastics

Lovin Malta was nominated by Neil Agius to be part of the challenge, which involves going to the seaside and picking up three pieces of plastic trash. You then need to post the footage to Facebook and challenge three other people.

After Lovin Malta completed the challenge, we nominated PN Leader Adrian Delia, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, and President of Malta George Vella. Dr Delia was the only person to meet Lovin Malta’s challenge.
