Watch: Delicate Rescue Operation Underway After Car Crashes Down Aħrax Cliffs With Driver Still Inside
A delicate rescue operation is currently underway near Mellieħa to recover a man who is reportedly trapped in the wreckage of a car which crashed down the steep cliffs of l-Aħrax.
Police told Lovin Malta that the incident happened at around 8am, with the rescue operation still underway some three hours later.
The man is believed to be still alive, but police could not provide any further information as of yet.

Meanwhile, photos and videos sent to this newsroom show the heavy presence of police officers, CPD officials, and even an AFM helicopter as the difficult rescue operation saw everything from cranes to rescue boats being used to reach the car and its driver.
