We might have an official national anthem, but Xemx by The Tramps has to be Malta’s unofficial wedding anthem – and for a good reason too.

The soothing, nostalgic track praising the beautiful Maltese sun is known to one and all – but few people can say they’ve seen the actual songwriters perform the song.

In an extra special surprise just for the Lovin Music Awards attendees, the Tramps reunited for one night only and took the stage to perform Xemx – but that wasn’t all.

They were accompanied by not one, not two, but four of Malta’s powerhouse female vocalists. Federica Falzon, Amber, Claudia Faniello, and Nicole Frendo all hit the stage to take Xemx to another level as the crowd in attendance sang their hearts out.

The touching performance was made all the better with personal images from the Tramps history projected onto three large screens as they performed the iconic Maltese track.
