Watch: ‘He Said He Forgot About It’ – Shocking Moment Van Drags Tied Calf Around Żejtun In Early Morning Hours
A police investigation has been launched into a shocking video which was filmed and uploaded in the early hours of this morning showing the moment an animal tied to a van was dragged along the streets.
In a series of dashcam videos uploaded to Facebook by Patrick Gatt, the incident – which seems to have happened just after 5.45am this morning – shows the van dragging along the small animal, believed to be a calf.
As the driver and his passengers frantically try to catch the van driver’s attention, the poor animal can still be seen being dragged around the mostly empty roads in the areas of Żejtun and Għaxaq.

“I stopped him, and he said he forgot about it,” Patrick wrote on Facebook, with many in disbelief as the video continued to gain traction.
TVM has now reported that a police investigation into the incident has been launched, and that it is not yet known whether the animal was dead or alive while it was tied to the back of the van.
