Activist and journalist Maya Dimitrijevic shared a glimpse into the day-to-day life of an Msida resident amidst constant construction.

The video, apart from showcasing multiple instances of construction around her locality, shined a light on the stress the practice leaves on residents.

“I simply cannot spend another moment in this hell hole of constant noise and dust,” Dimitrijevic said in the video’s caption.

Many commenters exclaim that such practices are necessary in order for roads to be maintained and for operations to advance. However, others state that despite its necessity, it can get excessive and prompt justifiable outrage from the public.

Father Ryan Dalli shared Maya’s video on Facebook, citing a recent similar reaction to noise pollution from Father Patrick Magro.

“Yesterday it was Fr. Patrick, today it’s Maya. Tomorrow it’s me or you or both,” he said, “Noise pollution is becoming a public health crisis on the island. It’s driving us crazy.”
