Watch: Maltese Pyrotechnic Team Sets Guinness World Record With NYE Drone Show In Qatar
“You are absolutely, officially amazing!”
Malta-based pyrotechnics company, Pyroemotions Limited, has made a history with their insane firework drone show at the New Year’s Eve celebrations in Lusail, Qatar.
The massive display consisted of 500 drones synchronised to form various shapes and designs with their multicoloured lights.
On top of the dazzling spectacle, new year revellers were treated to a beautiful firework show as the countdown came to a close, that saw a whopping 3,865 single shots fired from the drones.
The sheer scale of the project caught the eye of Guinness World Records, who awarded the team the world record for “most fireworks launched by drones in an aerial display.”
“A moment of great pride for the entire Pyroemotions team, which, after years of research and development, reached this incredible result,” the company said on Instagram, “As Walt Disney once said, ‘If you can dream it, you can do it.’”
The large-scale project was made possible with the company’s generous international partners, ZOOM events and productions, Qatari Diar and the Italy-based fireworks company, Pirotecnica Del Vicario.
A big congratulations to the team at Pyroemotions and everyone involved!
What do you think of the giant achievement?
