Watch: ‘Married At First Sight’ UK Star Luke Debono Gives Us More Quotable Moments

Malta’s very own love guru and Married At First Sight contestant, Luke Debono, had viewers in stitches with his cringey yet borderline romantic quips in the past weeks.

The entertainment has only just begun, as his marriage with Amy Victoria is still in its infancy, we have lots more to experience of Luke’s charming words.

One that particularly stands out is during a wholesome spa getaway arranged for the couple where Luke was treated to a relaxing massage by his spouse. But, when Amy describes a knot in Luke’s back as feeling like “a sausage”, Luke exclaims with a hilarious, “Sausage?! Madonna, where are your hands?”

The sausage-ey conversation continues as Luke leans into the joke by explaining to Amy that the ideal way to massage his bicep is to… “imagine that you’re taking off the cover of a chorizo”?

Despite the awkwardness, you can’t deny that the duo does have some romantic moments.

After waking up next to his adoring partner, they both exchanged a longing conversation about how they yearn for the romance that awaits them in their future, and of course Luke expresses his emotions oh so poetically.

“It was difficult because I felt like it’s as close as I can get without breaking the first commandment, Thou shalt not enter the Holy City, until the Sabbath”

Luke might not be the most religiously educated, but he sure has a way to woo Amy and the audience.

The poetry does not end there, literally, because on one occasion Luke also drafted up an adorable poem for his wife along with an equally cute picture of them in a turtle frame.

The lyrical composition had many wholesome lines that you must hear for yourself, but the ending is just absolutely heartwarming:

“For us, it’s now the apartments or what comes after,
and together we will bring more joy and laughter.
I just want you to know that at my zoo,
There will always be a table for two.”

The man truly seems like he’s head over heels for his new spouse.

To be honest, we can’t deny we have a soft spot for this quirky hunk and with more episodes on the horizon, the quotable moments will only grow from here.
