Jake tragically passed away weeks ago at the age of 15, but his legacy lives on through his incredible efforts in fundraising and advocacy.
Minister Farrugia Portelli praised Jake for turning his immense hardships into something meaningful, citing his fundraising achievements in swimming and athletics, as well as his dedication to abandoned animals and other charitable causes.
Farrugia Portelli also said how this tribute was a surprised for Jake’s parents Josie and Mariska as she made the announcement during the interview.
The Kordin centre will join the existing volunteer hubs in Rabat, Birkirkara, Xewkija, and Valletta, with plans for further expansion across Malta.
