Getting caught in a roadblock is an especially scary part of driving on the Maltese roads, especially if you are riding dirty.

But one recent roadblock set up in the holiday seasons on Regional Road gave drivers a cute surprise after they realised they hadn’t been stopped because they had broken the law, but because Transport Malta officials wanted to give them a Christmas present.

But there are smiles all round as soon as the drivers realise they aren’t in trouble and are just getting pranked in a cute way. As shocking as the tactic is, it sure is one way of making sure people get the message that we can all be nicer on the roads.
