Watch: Travelling Lads Represent Malta During Interview On Popular Japanese TV Show

A group of Malta-based travel enthusiasts got an insane opportunity to rep Malta in Japan during a surprise interview.

Originally from Libya, Muhanned and his friend Manuel have been living in Malta since 2016 and recently they set off to their “dream destination,” the whimsical land of Japan.

During their stay, they were approached by interviewers from a local TV show called “Why did you come to Japan?,” where tourists and foreigners are interviewed during their stay.

The show dedicated an entire segment to interviewing this lad and his friend, asking him all about their life, their plans in Japan and of course, about Malta.

Muhanned explained his love for Maltese fireworks, and even got the chance to not only share the Maltese spectacles with the showrunners, but also experience their Japanese counterparts for himself!

The hosts of the show had some pretty hilarious reactions when shown the vistas of our island and some of the spectacles its best known for.

It’s insane seeing Malta have its own dedicated segment and it’s equally as humerous – yet oddly prideful – that such a tiny island as our own can have such an impression on larger countries.

What do you make of this surprise international feature?
