Ex ONE Radio Presenter Urges Joseph Muscat To Resign: ‘Don’t Let This Shadow Keep On Growing’
Ex ONE Radio presenter and former General Workers’ Union secretary Jeremy Camilleri has urged Prime Minister Joseph Muscat to resign immediately for the good of the sake of Malta and the Labour Party.
“Resign now! Your position has become untenable,” Camilleri wrote on Facebook. “Get out if you truly love the party and the country. Don’t let this shadow keep on growing.”
Camilleri’s comments come hours after Melvin Theuma, the suspected middleman in the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia, testified in court. Theuma said that he had met Keith Schembri and been given a false government job a day or two after he set the price with the suspected assassins for the murder of Caruana Galizia.
He also said that he was paid a visit by a man called Kenneth who works at the Office of the Prime Minister. According to Theuma, who has been granted a presidential pardon in exchange for information, Kenneth fronted the offer to bail out the three men charged with carrying out the assassination and pay the €3 million required for their release.
Kenneth has now been named as Kenneth Camilleri, a former security officer of Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.
