One woman is reportedly at risk of dying after falling into the sea and four others have been rescued after an incident this afternoon in Sliema.

The identities are still unknown at this point in time. 

Police were called on-site at around 2:45pm, after five people fell into the sea next to Surfside, Sliema. A spokesperson confirmed that a search and rescue mission was underway.

A helicopter was dispatched, while members of the police force, the Armed Forces of Malta, CPD, and a medical team are in the area. 

Sources close to Lovin Malta even reported that there’s a lot of commotion and panic in the area right now.
