One-Year-Old Swedish Girl Kidnapped By Her Parents Found In Malta
A one-year-old girl from Sweden who was under the protection of the Swedish Authorities was found with her parents at the Malta International Airport in an alleged abduction, the Ministry for Children’s Rights said in a statement.
The Swedish parents fled with the young girl from their country of origin.
The Central Authority is currently working with the Directorate for Child Protection in the Foundation for Social Welfare Services, as well as with the Swedish Authorities, to make the necessary arrangements for the minor to be able to return to her country.
Currently, the girl is in the care of the Maltese Authorities and is being given all the necessary care and assistance.
