One of the Paceville bouncers filmed brutally beating a Polish youth till he lost conscious has pleaded not guilty.

Dejan Zivanov, a 29-year-old Serb who lives in Qawra, appeared in court earlier today. Bail was denied, and he will remain under arrest.

Zivanov made no submissions during today’s sitting.

Footage published by TVM  showed the youth pointing his phone in the direction of the bouncers, apparently filming them.

A bouncer then rushed towards him, knocking the phone out his hand and wrestling him to the ground. Four bouncers joined in, with one man stomping on the young man’s head, leaving him unconscious.

The youth was taken to the hospital and was discharged two days later.

Police are still investigating the incident and haven’t excluded taking action against the four other bounces.
