Fathers Group Announce Vigil For Nicholas Camilleri: ‘He Is A Victim Of Society’

A parental alienation group has announced a vigil for Nicholas Camilleri, the missing man discovered dead in Għajn Tuffieħa, in front of Malta’s law courts.

Camilleri, who was reported missing on 17th June, was found earlier this morning. Investigations are ongoing, but police believe there was no foul play in his death.

A social media post Camilleri penned before going missing has raised some alarm. Lovin Malta has taken an editorial decision not to share this status out of respect for the family and loved ones during this delicate time.

The vigil will take place on Thursday 23rd June at 8m. Those attending will walk from the courts to parliament remembering Camilleri as a “victim of society”.

“Join our appeal for more preventive and effective measures to be accessible to parents rendered vulnerable to an extent that they give up on their existence. This is an appeal in the best interest of our children and their right to enjoy family life with both parents and their future,” the group said.

The same group, Flimkien Missirijiet Inqumu, calling for serious reforms to ensure fairness in custody cases, held a demonstration in front of the courts last weekend.
