Partners Will Be Allowed To Visit Mothers And Newborns At Maltese Hospitals From Today

Partners will be allowed to visit mothers and their newborns in hospital following delivery from today.
Previously, partners were allowed to be present for the birth of their child but had to leave afterwards, as a precaution against the transmission of COVID-19.
Pregnant women who are due to give birth are being swabbed before entering hospital and are subsequently admitted to either the COVID positive or non-COVID positive part of the delivery suite according to the results.
