A new Valletta restaurant has just rolled out what one can only assume is the beautiful, bastard child of the glorious pastizzi and the humble sandwich.

“Paswitch,” restaurant Elephant Shoe said as they shared an image of the dish alongside a drooling emoji

“It’s a pastizzi sandwich baby. This is one of Elephant Shoe’s exclusive (and crazy) ideas. One word: divine.”

The eye-catching dish consists of scrambled eggs with feta, peas and chorizo and is served on two crispy pastizzi-style layers, sandwiching it all to create something this world has never seen.

The dish joins other catchily-named items like WAP (Waffles Are Perfect), Diana Rosti, and Steak Me Home.

Elephant Shoe – (named so because when one mouths ‘I love you’ it sounds like Elephant Shoe) – just opened at Upper Barraka Gardens, Valletta, and aims on bringing brunch back in a big way between Tuesdays and Sundays.

It’s been garnering positive reviews since opening, so if brunch is your kind of thing, grab someone fun and head over to Valletta sometime soon.
