‘Peanuts’: Koħħu Says Degiorgio Brothers Weren’t Happy With €150,000 Payment To Kill Caruana Galizia

Vince Muscat, known as Il-Koħħu, said the Degiorgio brothers weren’t happy with the €150,000 they received to murder journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.
Questioned during an ongoing jury trial today, Muscat testified that George and Alfred Degiorgio said the money they received was “peanuts”.
“They weren’t happy with the amount and they wanted €1 million,” he said.
The payments were made by Melvin Theuma, allegedly on behalf of Yorgen Fenech, who is awaiting a trial and denies responsibility.
Muscat, the prosecution’s star witness, is testifying in the jury trial against Jamie Vella, brothers Adrian and Robert Agius (Tal-Maksar) and George Degiorgio, who have been charged with the murder of lawyer Carmel Chircop.
Robert Agius and George Degiorgio have also been accused of supplying the bomb that killed Caruana Galizia in 2017.
