Peeping Tom At Mater Dei: Spy Camera Found In Women’s Staff Toilet At Malta’s Hospital

A secret camera has been discovered in the women’s staff toilet in the emergency department at Mater Dei Hospital, Lovin Malta can reveal.

Yesterday at 6:30 pm, staff uncovered the undercover electronic device in the bathroom and immediately called the police.

The police are investigating the case, with the hopes of apprehending the peeping tom.

Undercover footage of this nature is considered a sex crime in Malta, with defendants facing a prison sentence should they be found guilty.

In May 2018, a man was handed a suspended sentence for secretly filming his flatmate.

A suspended sentence was also handed to a sports coach who installed spy cameras in a girls’ changing room in 2016.
