‘People Tired Of 1980s Mentality’: Tenishia’s Joven Grech Praises Borg’s Approach To Politics

Renowned DJ Joven Grech, part of the Tenishia duo, has praised new PN leader Alex Borg’s approach to politics, stating that people are “tired of the same old 1980s mentality”.
“I don’t usually talk about politics, but I appreciated how Alex chose his words and spoke about having more sensible politics without being nasty to one another,” Grech said.
“Malta needs a strong opposition in parliament to ensure good discussions with the government, so that our leaders can make the best decisions for the country.”
“No one is perfect and that includes politicians, but I always hope for greater understanding between the two main parties.”
Grech stressed that his remark should not be seen as criticism of the government or Prime Minister Robert Abela, but rather as a call for a stronger opposition led by a young, fresh, and charismatic leader.
“Above all, I will always respect a politician who views what I do, including clubbing (done properly and legally) as something fun and not a taboo,” he added.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what Alex Borg brings to the table. People are tired of the same old 1980s mentality, and I’ve personally suffered from that since I was a child on many occasions.”
“The key is not to get back at people for what they did in the past, but to look to the future and understand that those times need to be left behind.”
