Pilatus: Repubblika Head Publishes New Damning Book On Financial Corruption

Repubblika president Robert Aquilina has published Pilatus: A laundromat bank in Europe”, a 750-page book with “undeniable proof” of how a system of organised crime has been allowed to flourish in Malta.
According to a statement, the book looks at the history of now infamous Pilatus bank, tracing its roots since before it was founded in Malta, when the owner of the Bank, Ali Sadr, acquired money through corrupt contracts in Venezuela to Malta’s eventual landing on the financial grey list.
“For the first time, this book is putting for the judgment of the people, documents and other proofs which show how much the Maltese Institutions, such as the MFSA and the FIAU, have allowed this Bank to do what it wants.”
The catapulting effect of Pilatus Bank tarnished the name of Malta throughout the world, the statement continued, and caused Malta to be the first country of the European Union that ever ended up on the grey list.”
During this morning’s press conference, Aquilina stressed the importance of this book in the fight that he, together with his colleagues, are leading in favour of justice in Malta.
Pilatus: A laundromat bank in Europe is available from local publisher Midsea Books for €30.
