PL MP Flags ‘Unbearable’ Stenches In Paola And Calls For Immediate Action
Paola residents have been suffering from “unbearable” stenches in recent days, PL MP Amanda Spiteri Grech warned.
“Paola residents, particularly those who live near Lourdes, MCAST and Għajn Dwieli, have been complaining about unbearable stenches,” Spiteri Grech said.
The MP said she investigated the smells personally and urged the authorities to take all the necessary measure to solve the problem as soon as possible.
An investigation is underway by the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA).
A number of people blamed the stench on animal carcass waste originating from the nearby Marsa slaughterhouse, although Spiteri Grech told Lovin Malta that she wants to await the outcome of the investigation first.
