The PL has won the local council elections with a 20,000 vote-lead over the PN.

It is a much larger victory than last weekend’s European Parliament election, which PL only won by 8,500 votes. However, the PN has managed to close the gap significantly from the 47,000-vote difference at the 2019 local council election.

It has also won back control of the Mosta, San Ġwann, Siġġiewi, St Paul’s Bay, and Msida local councils, while PL managed to flip Għasri.
