Malta’s Heritage Parks Federation has submitted plans to turn a dilapidated pre-1968 building within Majjistral Park into a catering facility.

According to the plans, the building’s facade will be restored while an outdoor catering area, including chairs and a demountable canopy, will be constructed.

The plans have been submitted by Heritage Parks Federation, an NGO which manages the area. The project’s architect is Edgar Caruana Montaldo.

It is currently awaiting recommendation from the Planning Authority’s case officer.

The building itself has been disused for several years and lies at the entrance of the park on the side of Golden Bay.
