PN Announces Protest This Sunday In Front Of Castille In Light Of Vitals-Steward Hospital Case Conclusion
The Nationalist Party has announced a protest calling for the return of the €400 million of taxpayers’ money used for the fraudulent Vitals and Steward Hospital deal.
“We succeeded in bringing the hospitals back. Now we want the €400 million that was stolen from the pockets of the Maltese and Gozitan people,” General Secretary of PN Michael Piccinino wrote on social media.
The protest is set for this Sunday 29th October at 4pm in front of Castille.
This comes after the courts rejected an appeal by Steward against a landmark decision against them last February.
Delia filed the case back when he was Opposition Leader and Judge Francesco Depasquale ruled that fraud was committed during three stages of the process – before the contract was signed, when it was being negotiated, and when Steward took over. He ordered that the St Luke’s, Karin Grech, and Gozo General Hospitals be returned to the government.
