President of the PN’s electoral commission Francis Zammit Dimech has played down the concerns over alleged “manoeuvres” ahead of next weekend’s confidence vote, ensuring that verification of the list of councillors had finished on 19 July.

Earlier, the group who submitted the petition calling for Delia’s resignation claimed they had received “old data” with issues surrounding addresses and ID card numbers.

However, Zammit Dimech has said that the list was meticulously compiled by the electoral commission, which includes people on both sides of the debate.

Councillors have until Tuesday at 12 pm to contest any anomaly in the list. Complaints may be addressed to kummissjoni@pn.org.mt.

The commission is also giving time until Wednesday to anyone who has not yet paid their membership fee to pay it.

Voting is taking place on Saturday 27th July with early voting also taking place on Wednesday 24th July.
