PN MEP Roberta Metsola Calls Out Konrad Mizzi’s Uncle For Vulgar Dildo Remark
Nationalist MEP Roberta Metsola has called out an uncle of Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi after he vulgarly commented on Facebook that she should use a statuette as a dildo.
Metsola yesterday posted a photo of herself presenting a statuette of a fist clenching a pen to the Times of Malta’s editors to mark 39 years since their offices were burnt down.
In response, Mizzi’s uncle commented: “You should use [that statuette] as a dildo; maybe it will help ease some of your frustration.”
The PN MEP quickly remarked that the commenter was “not just any other internet troll, but the close confidant of disgraced Minister Konrad Mizzi”, demanding the man publicly disclose his connection to Mizzi.
“He doesn’t like women who speak up, he doesn’t like women in general,” she said. “But this comment is how he proves his loyalty to Joseph Muscat – it is what he has been instructed to do. Now observe the culture of impunity in practice. 39 years after Labour’s thugs burnt down The Times and beat up Dr Eddie Fenech Adami’s mother while ransacking his house, the thugs are still around and they’re using Facebook as their outlet. They still don’t scare us.”
“Konrad is family and I’m proud to say it,” the man responded. “When you use the word ‘disgrace’, look in the mirror. You and your ilk are a disgrace to the country. Contrary to your belief, I am no confidant and do not need anybody’s help or protection and I have always made my own way. I may have gone overboard with my initial off-the-cuff comment, but that does not change the fact that you are a disgrace to Malta.”
