PN MPs Are Pressuring Bernard Grech To Show He’s The Real Leader

Nationalist MPs are personally pressuring Bernard Grech to send clear signals that he is the true leader of the PN.
Lovin Malta understands that there is a growing concern internally that Karol Aquilina is being perceived as driving the party’s agenda.
They are therefore pressuring Grech to step up and show that he is the leader, including by giving a larger platform to all of his MPs.
MPs are also advising Grech to be careful on how to react to a PL motion, set to be discussed in Parliament today, which condemns Aquilina’s “attacks” against Speaker Anglu Farrugia.
Their argument is that it is not right for the government to present a motion against the Opposition given they have strength in numbers. If the government insists on discussing it and taking the motion, there is a good chance that several PN MPs could walk out of Parliament and refuse to participate.
Alex Borg, Adrian Delia, Stephen Spiteri, who have all spoken publicly about the situation, as well as other MPs are all believed to have spoken to Grech recently.
