Police And Ambulance Called In After Fight Breaks Out At End Of Maltese Premier League Game

Police had to be called in last weekend after a fight broke out at the end of a Maltese Premier League game between Ħamrun Spartans and Mosta FC.
TVM reported that the fight broke out in the Ta’ Qali car park at the end of the game, which Ħamrun won 2-1 to maintain their status as undefeated league leaders.
A police spokesperson confirmed that an ambulance was called in to hospitalise a person who suffered slight injuries and that three people have been interrogated. However, it is as yet unconfirmed whether any of them will face charges.
The fight at Ta’ Qali comes a week after police and medics had to intervene in a children’s football match in Kordin after parents broke out in a fight following a referee’s decision to send a player off for using vulgar language.
