Maltese police ares searching for a missing COVID-19 patient, Public Health Superintendent Charmaine Gauci has confirmed.

At her daily press conference, Gauci was asked by NET to confirm a report that a COVID-19 patient had escaped from Sir Paul Boffa Hospital.

“Yes, police are searching for a person to ensure he can be isolated,” she responded.

Malta confirmed 14 new COVID-19 cases this afternoon, bringing the total up to 241. Five patients have officially recovered and no one has died.
