Ġzira Police Chase Uncovers Large Amount Of Drugs, Including Cannabis, Ecstasy And Heroine

After trying to evade the police for speeding at 01:45 this morning, a Toyota driven by a 22-year-old Serbian hit another car.

Shortly after, Police searched the vehicle and found a number of drugs, including a bag containing a large amount of cash as well as a heroine-like substance, suspected ecstasy pills and 17 small bags of cannabis.

The police were patrolling Triq Michael Anton Vassalli in Ġzira when they noticed the car speeding past them, at which point a minor chase ensued, until the driver was finally arrested on Triq Emanuele Giordano.

Sliema District Police are currently investigating together with theAdministrative Law Enforcement team.
