Police Charge Robert Aquilina With Illegal Arrest And Domestic Violence

The police are set to charge activist Robert Aquilina with domestic violence and illegal arrest.

Aquilina will plead not guilty to the charges.

The charges follow a police investigation into a recent incident at Aquilina’s home involving him and his wife.

Illegal arrest is defined by law as “the apprehension, arrest, detainment or confinement” of any person against their will. It carries a potential imprisonment term from seven months to two years.
