A 39-year-old foreign man from St Paul’s Bay was arrested last night after he tried to flee from the police.

The man was driving a Citroen Berlingo on triq Is-Salini when police noticed that he was acting suspiciously.

The man proceeded to drive in their direction, forcing officers to move out of the way, prompting a police chase ending in triq l-Għoljiet where he was subsequently arrested.

Nobody was hurt during the incident.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
