Police Rescue Chihuahua Found In Wanted Man’s Car After Marsa Car Chase
Police, alongside Animal Welfare officers, rescued a dog from a car involved a Marsa incident that led to one policeman being injured from the pursuit.
After gunshots were heard in Marsa, a policeman who wasn’t on duty at the time but happened to be on-site had his motorcycle struck by a vehicle attempting to leave the scene. Footage published by TVM shows that damage to the vehicle was quite extensive.
The car was later stopped by policemen and its driver was apprehended. But in the act, another rescue was made.
Officers were seen pulling a Chihuahua out of the suspect’s damaged car, the dog seemingly shaken by the incident.
Shortly afterward, Animal Welfare officers arrived on site and placed the dog in a cage, transporting it to their facilities.
Although the official condition of the policeman has yet to be confirmed, a spokesperson has said that as it stands, he is “not in any immediate danger”.
