Police are currently searching for the aggressor which hospitalised two Italian men after a bloodied argument in Marsaskala yesterday evening.

The argument occurred at around 6.30pm, along Triq is-Sikka, Marsaskala, police have confirmed. 

It appeared that the argument happened between two Italian men, aged 52 and 37, and another two which fled the scene.

Police were immediately called on site to handled to altercation, even speaking with some residents who might have seen what caused the argument. A part of the road even had to be closed to allow for investigations.

The aggressors have still not been located, and it’s not being excluded that they are armed.

The two Italian men were transported to Mater Dei Hospital, where it was certified that they’re suffering from grievous injuries.

Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech is leading an inquiry, while police investigations are still ongoing.
