Qormi Woman Dies After Four Years In Coma Following Luqa Crash

After spending four years in a coma, a woman injured in a car crash has passed away.
The 38-year-old woman from Qormi spent four years in a coma after being struck by a vehicle in Luqa in 2019. She was struck at around 12.30pm In Triq San Vinċenz on 15th June while walking.
She was struck by a vehicle being driven by a 47-year-old from Siġġiewi. She was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital at the time, and certified to be at risk of dying.
She died while recovering in the St Vincent de Paul Residence, where she actually used to work as a carer.
Newsbook reported that an autopsy will be undertaken on the cadaver to determine whether the woman died due to this incident, or another reason led to her demise.
