The victim of this morning’s homicide in Raħal Ġdid has been identified as a 40-year-old woman resident of Qrendi.

Police confirmed that a gun was used and three shots were fired after an argument occurred in Kordin’s industrial estate. Upon arrival, police found a lifeless body behind a parked Nissan Qashqai.

Investigations began after gunshots were heard in the early hours of the day along Triq Kordin next to the prison.

The case happened at around 8am, police have confirmed. 

A medical team was called on-site to assist, however, the woman immediately lost her life.

The aggressor fled the scene and police are currently looking for him. His identity is still unknown.
