Raped Mother In ‘Satanic’ Abuse Says She Stopped Hearing Voices When Daughter’s Boyfriend Wasn’t Present

A mother who was allegedly raped by her daughter’s boyfriend while hearing voices that were giving her “satanic” orders told a court she stopped hearing voices when the accused was no longer present.

The case dates back to 29th January 2019 in a Marsaskala residence where the accused, who was 18 at the time, used to live with his girlfriend, who was a minor.

Lovin Malta had reported on the disturbing case back then, which is now at trial stage.

Testifying in the trial against the accused, whose name has been banned from publication by court order, an inspector testified that he found a burning cross in the bathroom and a broomstick that was allegedly used for sexual acts, as well as three dogs that were bought on order by the devil.

The mother spoke about the man being possessive and jealous to the point that he physically attacked her daughter, according to TVM.

During the trial, the mother described the man as being very kind and outgoing at the start – however, this changed drastically as time went on.

In court, she recounted how on the day of The Feast Of Assumption in 2018, she was asleep and felt water dripping on her body when she woke up to find the accused physically attacking her and also saw a lampshade flying.

She insisted that later she felt like doing her business to which a voice replied by persuading her to do this on her balcony – this wasn’t the first time she obeyed the alleged voice.

The voice later ordered her to start having sexual acts with the accused after attending church to get punched by her own daughter, and once even to put a broomstick up a family’s friends behind. 

She said that while she wasn’t sure who was hurting her, she was once looking downwards while getting attacked when she caught a glimpse of the accused out of the corner of her eye and scratched his hand.

A priest was also allegedly taken to bless the house, but this didn’t stop these disturbing situations from escalating.

The mother stated that she doesn’t hear voices anymore. 

She was shown footage police found on her and her daughter’s laptops of the accused man asking the mother if he’s ever hit her before and her denying it.

However, the mother insisted that she doesn’t remember this dialogue and that she had gone to Mount Carmel Hospital to receive treatment for Bipolar Personality Disorder.

The sister of the accused’s ex-girlfriend also said the accused had previously hit with a whip in the lower area of her body.

The prosecution in the jury is led by lawyers Angele Vella and Francesco Refalo.

The accused is being defended by lawyer Mario Mifsud, while Lara Dimitrijevic is parte civile.
