Recognise Them? Maltese Crew Looking For Owners Of Lost Camera Full Of Holiday Pictures

A clean up team came across an item that definitely isn’t junk during an exercise yesterday – and now they are looking for the owners.

During a clean up near Majjistral Park’s coastline, volunteer Beppe Moreno found an expensive diver’s camera.

Bright yellow and in good shape, the team quickly realised the camera probably belonged to someone who accidentally lost it – and the holiday diving photos found on the camera were even more proof that they needed to find the owners.

“It’s unbelievable that the camera was still working as it was on its last drops of battery charge since the end of July,” Mark Galea Pace, an environmental activist behind the clean up, told Lovin Malta.

The team have nothing more to go on than the pictures in the photos, and they believe the owners may be German and may have taken their last photos while diving near the wrecks in Ċirkewwa.

Between the fact that the camera isn’t cheap and its full of memories, Galea Pace, Moreno and their entire team are now reaching out publicly to see if anyone recognises the people snapped in the pictures.

The camera is a red Olympus brand model, with a bright yellow cover. If you think you can help find the owners please contact Mark Galea Pace on 99441758
