“Possession and control are not love,” said Alessia, Bernice’s sister, in an emotional statement that resonated with everyone present.
This Sunday, Moviment Graffitti will be holding a protest against the patriarchal system on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women with the protest “Her Plight, Our Fight” in Valletta.
The protest is set to start at 3:30pm outside the law courts.
Rest in peace, Bernice.
