“Climbing the equivalent of the 110 storeys of the World Trade Center serves as a symbolic completion of the journey these firefighters undertook to save others on that tragic day,” CPD wrote on its Facebook page.

Tomorrow marks 23 years since the devastating 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in Manhattan and the Pentagon in Washington.

The attacks resulted in over 3,000 people being killed and the destruction of the Twin Towers after terrorists hijacked multiple planes and flew them directly into the buildings.
