In a whirlwind 2020, Malta has appointed a new Prime Minister and Opposition Leader, and it’s time they faced off in a national debate.

That’s why Xarabank and Lovin Malta have invited PN leader Bernard Grech and Prime Minister Robert Abela to go head-to-head in the first televised debate between the two.

It’s a volatile time for the country and a healthy debate is needed to clear the air on some issues.

Abela is facing questions over COVID-19, the migration crisis, corruption and the looming budget and we want answers.

Who better to ask them than newly-elected PN leader Bernard Grech who has yet to show Malta whether he is truly up to the task of challenging Abela in his role as Prime Minister.

Debates are healthy for a democracy and help set the record straight.

Just this week, former PN leader Adrian Delia featured on Xarabank in what was his first interview after stepping down and now it’s time for Grech to stand up.

Delia’s feature on Xarabank has already been viewed over 34,000 times in just 10 hours but the people are desperate to hear what the current leaders have to say about concurrent issues.

Other Xarabank and Lovin Malta collaborations have been hugely successful too with Delia and Grech debating for an audience of over 150,000 people and a special episode on beloved actor-satirist and ALS patient Joe Debon reaching more than 85,000 people.

Now it’s time for Abela and Grech to step up to the plate and put their wits to the test on Xarabank.
