Robert Abela Gets Significant Easter Sunday Boost In The Polls

With just over two months to go until the European Parliament and local council elections, the Labour Party is maintaining an extremely healthy lead in the polls.

A MaltaToday survey today found that the PL is polling at 52.8%, an increase from 47.9% in February, while the PN is trailing at 42.6%, slightly up from 41%.

The number of people who said they are going to vote for a third party or independent candidate crashed from 11.1% to 4.6%.

In more good news for PL, the percentage of people who voted for Labour in 2022 but don’t intend to vote in June dropped from 34.2% to 14.4%.

In terms of the major political leaders, Prime Minister Robert Abela is trusted by 45.9% of the electorate, while Opposition Leader Bernard Grech is trusted by 21.7%. The trust rating of both leaders grew by around five points over the past month, which means the gap remains at 24.2 points.
