Watch: Robert Abela Signs Karl Gouder Condolence Book At Dar Ċentrali
Prime Minister Robert Abela paid a visit to the Nationalist Party’s headquarters to sign a book of condolence for Karl Gouder.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by his wife Lydia Abela and a number of PL officials, including deputy leaders Chris Fearne and Daniel Micallef, President Ramona Attard, and CEO Leonid McKay.
The PL delegation was welcomed by PN leader Bernard Grech, deputy leader Alex Perici Calascione, and secretary-general Michael Piccinino.
“Karl Gouder was a politician who was respected by all,” Abela said. “He worked without ever hurting anyone. This is a moment where national unity must prevail.”
Gouder suddenly died on Tuesday, a few days after he declared his intention to run for the post of PN secretary general.
He will be laid to rest on Saturday, with a mass at the St Julian’s parish church.
