Robert Abela’s Parents Hospitalised After Fgura Traffic Accident
The parents of Prime Minister Robert Abela were hospitalised after they were involved in a head-on collision in Fgura this afternoon.
Abela’s father, President Emeritus George Abela, and his mother Margaret, were among three people hospitalised following the collision.
The collision occurred at around 3:30pm on Triq Hompesch and CPD officials were called on site to help rescue the people involved.
Robert Abela thanked the first responders who helped his parents today and said they are in a stable condition. He also offered his prayers to the two people who were in the other vehicle and who have also been hospitalised.
PN leader candidates Adrian Delia and Alex Borg, Opposition Leader Bernard Grech and European Parliament President Roberta Metsola said they are keeping Abela’s parents in their thoughts and prayers.
