PN MP Robert Arrigo has sent a heartfelt message to the public after a wave of support was sent his way following his fourth chemotherapy session.

“Couldn’t wait any more to say thank you. To you all. I am humbled,” Arrigo said in a new update.

While in hospital, Arrigo had questioned the state of some of Malta’s medical equipment – and this led Health Minister Chris Fearne to get in contact himself.

“Chris Fearne called me about my comment on hospital equipment. He explained the order and tender process of new machines, comparable to ones used in the UK,” Arrigo continued, before making a call for more cooperation on the island.

“We may have different political backgrounds, but how nice it is that both of us work in the best interests of Malta and Gozo. Let’s make Malta better. Together.”

Arrigo went on to thank the staff at the Oncology Department, praising them for their “fantastic dedication”.

The hospitalisation of Arrigo led to a slew of comments online, with well-wishers from all political sides sending their praises and hopes for a swift recovery to the prominent businessman and former Sliema mayor.
